Tegile Systems today announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with Promark Technology, one of the premier value-added distributors (VADs) in the United States, to make its Zebi line of hybrid storage arrays available to a broad range of solution providers throughout North America as an extension of the company’s presence in the channel.
Promark’s emphasis on data storage solutions and its ability to provide the necessary programs, tools and reliable support infrastructure helps VARs and system integrators successfully meet their business objectives, increase profit margins and obtain a strategic advantage over their competition. This agreement further strengthens Tegile’s 100 percent channel-focused partner program that was recently named among the IT channel’s most elite with a designation in CRN’s 2013 5-Star Partner Program Guide.
By partnering with Promark, Tegile’s Zebi storage arrays will also be available to customers in the public sector through the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule procurement process. Promark holds a two-tier distribution arrangement with GSA that resellers can leverage to sell products to government customers even if they do not hold a GSA contract of their own. This agreement opens up additional markets for the company while also providing members of the Tegile Channel Partner Program with the opportunity to fulfill government orders they may not otherwise have qualified to provide.

Tegile Zebi arrays leverage the performance of SSD and low cost per TB of high capacity disk drives to deliver up to seven times the performance and up to 75 percent less capacity required than legacy arrays. Zebi hybrid arrays combine Tegile’s patent-pending MASS technology with high performance DRAM, solid state flash, Intel Xeon processors and high speed Ethernet or Fibre Channel, resulting in higher capacity and significantly higher performance. Maximizing capacity, on-the-fly de-duplication and data compression enable more hosted virtual desktops for a lower investment in storage and network infrastructure.
