FUTUREMARK 3DMARK 11

3DMARK 11 SCORE SLI

Jumping over to our next benchmark test, the two ZOTAC graphics cards achieved a total score 15963, while averaging 96 fps across the four graphical tests.

FUTUREMARK PCMARK VANTAGE

PCMARK VANTAGE GAMING SUITE SLI

Through Vantage, the two ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680’s achieved 116 and 35 fps through gaming suite 1 and 4 accordingly. The SLI configuration yielded a total score of 22477. This is an odd result, considering that all of the previous tests have yielded results that are far superior to the performance of a single graphics card. However, in this case we are seeing results and scores lower than that of a single card. It’s possible that the reasoning around this is that Vantage is unable to accept that there are two GeForce GTX 680’s and is only accounting for the performance of a single GPU.

UNIGINE VALLEY BENCHMARK

BASIC

UNIGINE VALLEY BASIC SCORE SLI

The ZOTAC graphics card ran through our Valley benchmark on the basic preset and returned a total score of 4489, also averaging around 107 fps. Again we find ourselves looking at a result of the SLI configuration that accounts for a score lower than with a single card.

EXTREME

UNIGINE VALLEY EXTREME SCORE SLI

Bumping up the present in our Valley benchmark test shows the graphical superiority of a SLI configuration over a single graphics card. The two ZOTAC graphics card yielded a total score of 4212 and an average fps of 100.7, almost double the performance of a single card.

EXTREME HD

UNIGINE VALLEY EXTREME HD SCORE SLI

Again, the increase in the graphical preset from extreme to extreme HD has yielded, once again, superior results to that of a single graphics card. Our two ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680’s returned a total score of 3653 and an average fps of 87.

UNIGINE HEAVEN BENCHMARK

BASIC

Switching over to our Heaven benchmark tool, the two graphics card achieve a total score of 5065 while averaging around 201 fps.

EXTREME

UNIGINE HEAVEN EXTREME SCORE SLI

Taking the next step up in our graphical preset, the SLI configured graphics cards return a total score of 2280 and an average fps of 90. Again, we are almost double the performance of a single card, which makes sense since we have theoretically doubled the processing power.

FURMARK

 FURMARK SCORE SLI

Our burn-in benchmark test really flexes it’s muscles with these two graphics cards, but they still pumped out a fantastic score of 8761. Contrary to the temperature reading we achieved with a single card during our FurMark test, neither card reached nearly as high.

Back in June Technology X made the trip over to Taiwan, where we had the chance to sit down with Zotac and see the latest and greatest. Awesome Graphics!

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 AMP! Edition is a great option if you are looking to upgrade the graphical performance of your system. Being an older card you may be able to achieve better pricing and will be able to run a cheap, but high quality, multi-GPU system, of course if can manage to get your hands on them!
