UNIGINE VALLEY BENCHMARK
Both of the Unigine benchmarking products we are using today immerse the graphics card in a intensive environment to fully stress test the card. Valley allows you to check out life high up in the mountains, then you’ll be flying over the vast green landscapes and switch over to a mountain hike. There are three main test methods with Valley: Basic, Extreme and Extreme HD.
BASIC
The ZOTAC graphics card ran through our Valley benchmark on the basic preset and returned a total score of 5077, also averaging around 121 fps.
EXTREME
With increasing the graphics preset from basic to extreme we can expect to see a decrease in performance. The graphics card returned with a total score cut in half at 2591 and an average fps of 61.
EXTREME HD
Now to really see how well the card performs, we increase the graphics preset one more time to the highest setting. By doing so the ZOTAC graphics card returned a total score of 1950, while averaging around 46 fps. This isn’t bad considering the first drop in performance we experienced jumping from basic to extreme.
UNIGINE HEAVEN BENCHMARK
Heaven Benchmark immerses a user into a magical steampunk world of shiny brass, wood and gears. Float around flying islands, a tiny village with its cobblestone streets, above the amazing sight of fluffy clouds, followed up by a dragon statue on the central square. This benchmark test is powered by the UNIGINE Engine again that utilizes the advanced capabilities of graphics cards. Here we have two presets to walk through: Basic and Extreme.
BASIC
In the basic setting our graphics card’s Heaven benchmark, the ZOTAC graphics card achieved a total score 3726 and an average fps of 147.
EXTREME
Bumping up the graphics preset again from basic to extreme, we see a significant drop in both total score and fps, as the ZOTAC graphics card achieved 1268 and 50 accordingly.

Awesome Graphics!
The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 AMP! Edition is a great option if you are looking to upgrade the graphical performance of your system. Being an older card you may be able to achieve better pricing and will be able to run a cheap, but high quality, multi-GPU system, of course if can manage to get your hands on them!
