FUTUREMARK 3D MARK 11

3DMARK 11 SCREENSHOT

3DMark 11 is an in-depth tour of the underwater world as you follow two submarines as they inspect an age-old sunken ship, then transition to the jungle where you follow an expedition on their trek. 3DMark 11 makes extensive use of DirectX 11 features including tessellation, compute shaders and multi-threading.

3DMARK 11 UPDATE DRIVER EXAMPLE

When we first installed the Zotac Geforce GTX 680, we used the accompanied driver disk to install the drivers. We proceeded to start testing without checking for the latest update to our graphics card. As you can see above, we were greeted by this warning in our benchmark saying “Graphics Card Driver is Not Approved”. Don’t worry, we went back into our NVIDIA GeForce Experience program and updated our drivers. Upgrading our drivers gave us the results below.

3DMARK 11 SCORE SINGLE CARD

Take a look at the first benchmark test we included under 3DMARK 11, just by upgrading the driver we increased the total score from 10044 to 10405. We can not emphasize enough how important it is to make sure you keep your drivers and software up to date, especially when it can make your gaming experience that much better. The ZOTAC graphics card also pumped out, on average, 49 fps.

While the test utilizes the HDD and CPU benchmarks, we are partial only to the GPU scores.

PCMARK VANTAGE GAMING SUITE SINGLE CARD

Our vantage results returned with some graphical improvements from some of our previous tests, achieving 108 fps in the first gaming suite, and 57 fps in the fourth gaming suite. The graphics card returned a total score of 27378.

Awesome Graphics!

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 680 AMP! Edition is a great option if you are looking to upgrade the graphical performance of your system. Being an older card you may be able to achieve better pricing and will be able to run a cheap, but high quality, multi-GPU system, of course if can manage to get your hands on them!
