A CLOSER LOOK
The small brown box contains the CPU block and all of the related hardware required for installation onto your favorite socket as well as a pair of blue 3mm LEDs for lighting up the block hold down plate.
The Raystorm CPU block itself is a nicely finished unit. The top is milled POM with a clearly labeled “IN” port.
The base of the block comes with a protective clear film applied. However missing is the standard “Remove before use” wording that you usually see on these stickers. This could lead to someone not noticing it and installing the block with the sticker still applied.
With the sticker removed we can see the base has a shiny polished finish.
The Raystorm mounting system is comprised of the main CPU block and either an Intel or AMD hold down plate. This makes installation super simple and if you were to switch systems at some point all you need to do is swap mounting plates rather than buy a new CPU block. The hold down plates consist of a clear acrylic bracket with a black anodized aluminum face plate. XSPC also offers aluminum brackets in both natural and black finishes as well as red and white insert plates to customize your Intel mounting system – I haven’t found similar items for the AMD mounting application.
XSPC includes this nice dual 3mm LED lighting module for lighting up the CPU brackets. The blue version comes with the kit.

Welcome to our little (and growing) corner of the web!
This is really a great thing for the experts of Water cooling to do.. To take the Technical out of a professional water loop. Great product and Great Idea.
Doesn’t seem worth the price considering the Noctua is a few degrees off and roughly $165 cheaper.
hahahaha its a great start that may turn into a custom loop someday, there’s enough potential for a GPU block and you are set 🙂 and it will be so much quieter
wow, noctua is even better than this? are you sure? i thought it was better than closed loops like h60 and maybe h100i but not this !!
