Viper RGB Gaming Mousepad Review

In all peripheral set ups, mouse pads or mouse surfaces are an extremely important. These surfaces can be designated into two categories, Hard surface and soft surface. Today we are going to take a gander at Patriot Viper’s new RGB hard-surfaced mouse pad.

Packaging and Contents

Shipped in a small flat box we have Viper’s cleverly packaged mouse surface. This mouse pad comes enclosed in plastic and is sealed with adhesive to prevent ingress of any foreign substances. You can see an interesting design here with the RGB stripping on the perimeter of this mouse pad. We also see a semi rigid polymer surface portion which is generally used for fast precision clicking. The power cable for the RGB is a micro USB to USB cord that runs straight out of the middle top of the surface itself with an in line RGB controller as well.

Design and Functionality

There are two types of mouse surfaces that cover the majority of the leading designs in mouse pads. We have cloth surfaces that are made of fiber giving the more precision feel to mouse movements. Second we have hard surfaces. These in particular have tops usually made of a hard plastic or polymer that increase the speed at which it takes to get your cursor on target. Our Viper mouse surface falls under the speed category due to its polymer topside and sleek movement surface.This mouse pad also come equipped with an RGB lighting strip along the side to customize the ascetics to meet that of your systems. This can all be arranged by the use of the in line controller located on the USB cord. There are six LED lighting zones that can be changed in addition to six different color effects to spice up your life.
