Thermaltake Tt eSPORTS Ventus X Gaming Mouse Review

With all of the gaming peripherals currently available on the market today it’s very easy for consumers to get confused with what they really want in comparison to what they actually need. Thermaltake’s Tt eSPORTS Ventus X Gaming Mouse is one such peripheral that will not only save you some cash in comparison to some of the behemoths out there, but will also satisfy most needs any casual gamer requires. At the highly reasonable asking price of only $49.99, this mouse delivers one great experience all while saving you a couple extra bucks.

PACKAGING & DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

Thermaltake’s Tt eSPORTS Ventus X Gaming Mouse comes a nice box displaying the main features of the mouse on the front panel as well as the inside of the front lid as the box opens up like a book to show the ventilated mouse within.

Along with the mouse your purchase includes a beautiful fabric carrying case, two Tt eSPORTS dragon logo stickers, a warranty book, and the quick installation guide.

Unfortunately, all the box displays is a Windows 8 logo for compatibility of the mouse software but that’s not all it supports. The quick installation guide also mentions:

• Windows® XP / Windows® Vista
• Windows® 7 / Windows® 8
• 30mb of free hard disk space

As with a few other mice under the Tt eSPORTS brand, this one too quite effectively utilizes the ventilation system in a nice honeycomb pattern on the rear of the mouse.

Located just underneath the honeycombed ventilation is one of the two lights located on the mouse. First, underneath the vents lies the Tt eSPORTS dragon in a strong glowing red hue (if the light is enabled). Second, the mouse wheel lights up in the same strong red hue, (again, if enabled), as the dragon giving the mouse an overall powerful appearance.

The bottom of the mouse utilizes three enlarged Teflon feet for a fantastic mouse glide on virtually any surface. It’s worth mentioning the size of these feet as most mice have much smaller ones. These enlargements greatly help further emphasize the overall smooth feel of the mouse.

Located on the left side of the mouse are two programmable buttons, generally used for convenient navigation or micros. Large and easy to manipulate with the thumb, these are nice additions.

Both sides of the mouse have a nice rubber grip to help the user’s overall grasp of the mouse.

The bottom of the mouse hides a compartment that houses three 4.5g weights to help further customize the overall feel and weight of the mouse.

Lastly, and most importantly, this is a right handed mouse, not left or ambidextrous. Unfortunately the Ventus X is currently only available for right handed users but fear not as the Tt eSPORTS line has many other gaming mice that are ambidextrous as not to alienate any left handed gamers.
