It may come as a surprise to you that Rockstar Games has recently delayed Grand Theft Auto 5‘s release on the PC for another 2 months. As a PC Gamers ourselves, we hope this will only help increase the quality of the PC version. Not all news is bad though, Rockstar still showed off the GTA V System Requirements.

So what does this mean to you? Well most people with a Quad core CPU, 8GB of RAM and a relevant Nvidia GTX 6xx or AMD HD 7xxx GPU should run this game very well. We find the recommended CPUs to be a bit odd as a AMD FX 8350 should beat an i5 at 3.2 GHz but it could be a case of rockstar only having those parts on hand. Also the HD 7870 is a fair bit more powerful than the GTX 660. Again might be a case of only having certain hardware on hand to test with.
If you plan on modding however we recommend something a bit more powerful. Those with a GTX 770 and above or on AMD’s side a HD 7970 or 280x should be in fine shape for most mods. Again this is just speculation at this point and we are using experience with modding other titles as a baseline. For any questions about how well your system will run with GTA V, leave us a comment and we will give you the best estimate we can! We are also looking forward to performance testing using a wide range of hardware when the game is finally released. For those looking to secure Pre-Orders check Amazon here!

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for your reply. I was the dude asking for your opinion on if my rig was more powerful than the PS4 or not. I really appreciate it, so thank you. I’m glad to see I meet the recommended requirements for this game spot on. Does this mean I’ll likely be able to run the game better or at least as well on the PS4?
Yeah, absolutely. The PS4 runs this game at 30FPS, you should be able to do better than that.
We’re going to try to do a performance test once the game comes out and see how well it runs on what, so check back for that!
Absolutely, definitely will check that out. Thanks guys!
Oh yeah for sure, I would expect 1080p 60FPS at high settings as recommended settings are usually for high settings.
