Cooler Master Nepton 140XL Liquid CPU Cooler Review

A CLOSER LOOK

The Nepton 140XL comes with the main cooling unit, a pair of Cooler Master’s new JetFlo fans in 140mm non-LED trim, warranty booklet, instruction booklet and finally the hardware bag.

Cooler Master’s new JetFlo fans included with the Nepton 140XL are 7-blade 140mm versions with built-in vibration dampers and PWM speed control. The fan cable comes sleeved in a nice black sleeving with black heatshrink.

The fans are rated for 12VDC and 0.8A with speeds ranging from 800-2000RPM (+/- 10%) pushing 54~122.5CFM with 0.7~3.5mm H2O static pressure, with a range of 21~39dBA.

The mounting points on the frame feature rubber pads for vibration damping, however the mounting points are not screwed to the main frame like they are on the 120mm versions.

The blades on the JetFlo’s are unique in that they’re textured with a single raised strip towards the outer edge.

The cable is sleeved with black nylon sleeving and terminated in a black 4-pin PWM connector.

The pump/block assembly is fairly small and lightweight. It features the Cooler Master logo front and center with a ring around it that lights up.

The tubing is connected to a pair of 90º fittings which are then in turn connected to the pump unit. The fittings rotate in the assembly to allow flexibility in mounting.
