AS SSD Benchmark uses incompressible data to test your storage device, essentially providing results that would be consistent with using the heaviest workload, thus lower speeds are expected. Transfer speeds (MB/s) are seen on the left and the IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) are on the right.

Another interesting feature of the AS SSD Benchmark is that it also can test sample durations and speeds of copying various files.

ANALYSIS AND FINAL THOUGHTS

ADATA has gone the extra mile with the DashDrive Elite SE720 External SSD! Not only is this external SSD fast, but also it has to be the most gorgeous piece of external storage available. Of course, such beauty does come with one downfall, the DashDrive is most definitely a fingerprint magnet and a trap for skin oils, similar to that you would see on a stainless steel kitchen appliance. For those of you, like me, who like to keep there devices looking the exact same as they came out of the box, the fingerprints and oils can be wiped away with ease using a regular cloth.

The only real disappointment with the DashDrive was the size capacity. It would have been nice to have seen some other options that would give consumers a chance to experience the glamour and speed of the DashDrive with both smaller and larger capacities.

Upon checking Amazon, the DashDrive can be added to your peripherals for only $115, making the DashDrive a rather inexpensive addition! Overall the DashDrive is one of the best external storage devices we have come across, combining great looks with speed, and of course at a price that is extremely reasonable.
