Last week at Computex, our visit with Patriot brought to light several product introductions, of which the new Pyro M3 SSD caught our attention.
The Pyro M3 is a mSATA SSD that will be available in capacities of 120 and 240GB. Performance for this SSD is listed at both read and write speeds above 500MB/s. Patriot is also showing much more diversity this year as can also be seen with MacSeries DDR3 memory in this picture as well
Next up on deck are Patriot Stellar line of flash drives. The entire Stellar line is geared to mobile devices, each being equipped with a micro-USB for Android and Mac connectivity. All are available in various capacities up to 64GB and performance is variable with the Stellar XT boasting an incredible 110MB/s read performance.
The next product merited a bit of a demonstration first, as can be seen here with the Samsung Galaxy now capable of 4K photos as seen here. This is only possible with high performance SD cards as shown with the patriot EP below, capable of speeds of 90MB/s read and 45MB/s write. Trying this same Galaxy demo with a standard SD card will not even display the ability to shoot 4K media.
