Computex 2015 coverage continues here at Technology X, where recently we met up with Biostar who were showcasing their new 100 series line of motherboards, as well as their Hi-Fi motherboard lineup.
First up on display was the Biostar Gaming Z170X, this ATX board supports Intel’s 6th generations processors, has a 14 phase power design, compatible with four DDR4 slots and three PCIe slots and two M.2 slots. It is also equipped with an USB 3.1 port on the rear I/O. Availability and pricing will be out later this year.
It will also be bundled with a front panel for various audio controls and LED indicators.
Also on display was the Biostar Gaming H170T, which is an ATX board that also supports Intel’s 6th generation processors. This board only boasts a 9 phase power design, DDR3 memory, two PCIe slots and one M.2 slot. Again, there was no word as of yet on availability or pricing.
Last, but not least, was the Biostar Hi-Fi Motherboard series. On display was the Hi-Fi H170Z3 and the B150Z5, both of which fully support Intel’s Skylake processors and offer Biostar’s advanced audio codec.
The H170Z3 is an uATX board, with a 7 phase power design, support for DDR3 or DDR4 memory, one PCIe x16 slot and one M.2 slot.
The B150Z5 is an ATX board that features a 7 phase power design, DDR3 or DDR4 memory support, and two PCIe x16 slots.
