MOUNTING
The camera can be mounted without issue using one of the 3 included mounts. I had it on my Bike helmet and did not feel any additional weight. The mounts come with an adhesive backing, where the cover can simply be peeled back and the mount attached. You will not be able to use it anywhere else as the adhesive looses its grip strength. We attached the sticky mount to the bike for testing and were glad we placed the camera in the “waterproof ” case. The first bump we hit off it flew. By the way, the case is not waterproof, with its open spaces, we might consider a protective cover.
PERFORMANCE
Operating the camera found the push buttons are little sticky to use. They do however, have the ability to easily switch modes, from picture to video or time lapse. You can view an image just shot by using the App downloaded on your Smart phone and connect using the WI-FI. We were able to use the “Live View ” on our smart phone to set up the camera for video. Pictures taken are sharp and clear. Audio is adequate, but we did notice a faint buzzing noise when there was no other background sound. Using the Live View, we found that the connection was lost approx 4 meters from the phone. Over all the camera was fun to use and performed well.

SAMPLE VIDEOS
This first video shows the camera’s performance while being handheld, driving on Highway 1 West of Banff, Alberta.
A second clip has the Socam Ultimate sitting on the dash of my truck. The picture is very clear and stable throughout and the camera can easily keep up with movement traveling at 120 km. You can all so see how quickly the camera is able recover from going through a short dark tunnel back to bright light. In the second clip the music you hear in the back ground is from CD playing in the stereo and being picked up by the camera mic.
This third video was shot with the camera mounted on my bike helmet.
