A wonderful unveil before CES. We went to the Samsung press release and fought hordes of people to get a good seat. We were excited to hear about the new flagship Samsung NX300, the world’s first one-lens 3D capable still and video camera. I was able to talk to the guys at the Samsung booth at Pepcom after and play with it. The NX300 is a rugged feeling camera with a brilliant retro design. It’s a 3D camera capable of taking 3D videos with a single lens. The NX300 also features a 20.3 Megapixel APS-CMOS sensor. Sounds like the same (or upgraded) sensor of the NX200.
Samsung is also releasing the 45mm 2D/3D lens that lets you record full 1080p 3D movies, all powered by the new DRIMe IV imaging engine. I can also say that Samsung has hands down the most beautiful tilting 84mm (3.31”) AMOLED touch screen I have ever seen. I really like the new NX series the lenses are good and getting much better. Samsung has made some amazing additions into the mirrorless range, and I can’t wait to go back to the Samsung booth and play with it more. This is one sweet Wi-Fi camera!
