The easiest method of telling whether you really favor the sound and fit of a particular set of headphones is, quite simply, how much they are on your head. In my case, I have long passed the burn in phase of these 1More H1707 Triple Driver’ and somehow find myself having returned to those old habits of late late night music sessions where I rediscover some oldies from my playlist. Etta James is a given as is some amazing Billy Joel but my rediscovery of an old friend named Floyd occurred through the album, and title song, ‘The Final Cut’. My racing through a collection of some 6000 songs stopped suddenly…
The 1More Triple Driver Over-Ear H1707 Headphones have been out for a few months now and I apologize but I cannot comment on fanfare as I try to stay away from others opinions until after I have posted. Truth be told, the opinion of others is not something I am at all concerned with. The sound reproduction of the H1707, along with build and fit, are all that matters to me. If the H1707s were anything close to the Quad Driver In-Ear buds we reviewed awhile back, I knew I would be in for a real treat. The In-Ear Quads are the absolute best I have experienced to date and are with me always.
EXTERIOR CASING AND PRESENTATION
The 1More H1707 come in a very well designed exterior case where one lifts and pulls out the main package from the outside cover.
The marketing and quality of their packaging, as was the case with their In-Ear Quad drivers, is beyond reproach.
Inside, you will find hard polystyrene case that is molded inside to fit the H1707′ perfectly and there is also a small pouch, affixed to the inside by velcro, which contains the 3.5mm stereo plug and OFC cable.
In a small compartment on the bottom of the package is the User manual and a 1More nylon pouch for quick storage.
Did we mention that the hard nylon cabling was detachable on these babies? This is something we liked very much, although the exterior case could use a handle or latch of some sort for travel purposes. As we travel out of country alot, we have found that the hard case is best positioned hanging from a belt or backpack loop. The detachable cable is of a very high quality oxygen-free copper wire with Kevlar core and a tangle-free braided sheath. Check out H1707 pricing.
