The electronic music giant Native Instruments has long been a go-to for electronic artists and casual musicians alike. NI has released programs such as Guitar Rig 5 Pro (“The ultimate all-in-one guitar and bass solution with 17 amps, 54 effects and more.” Massive, “The heavyweight synthesizer for fat basses and piercing leads; from creamy analog sounds to dirty, brute force audio.” Joining this list is my personal favorite, Battery, an incredibly adaptable and versatile drum synth, that allows everything from a simple four part kit to a complex set of taiko drums, tablas, or just about anything else you can think of.
NI announced today the arrival of a new synth to their arsenal of professional grade products. While this new synth hasn’t been given a name on their website, it has been described by NI as being “a synth with teeth”. Given what I have heard of this new product, I would say this is a highly dynamic and tweakable synth designed for people who want to add some force to their live performances, or nuance to their recording at home.
