As always, PepCom is our first stop on our adventure at CES in Las Vegas. We were a touch let down with the almost identical football theme from 2017. All this being said we were still very excited to meet with the companies that peak our interest in regards to products while at the same time indulging in delicious finger food and complimentary drinks.
We stopped by many booths, however, only a few really popped out at us. First of which was JBL speakers. JBL succeeds in keeping up with competing audio companies by adding the smart home functions including Alexa to their lineup. A big part of their 2018 lineup also includes EnduranceDive, which is completely waterproof headphones for swimmers. If you are looking for a very durable/waterproof speaker with the addition of Bluetooth, the new JBL Xtreme may be what you’re looking for.
Once again we dropped by the Ventev booth to chat about their new commodities. A few new innovations in the world of phone and tablet charging were apparent. Detachable cable wall chargers with up to 6 USB ports really tickled our fancy. If you are more of an on the go type of person, Ventev developed a new low profile charging pack with up to 3 full phone charges.
Logitech was one of our last stops and what we found was the product we were hoping Santa would bring us for Christmas. The new Powerplay Wireless Charging System is a huge invention in gaming. You never want to have to worry about the battery life of a gaming mouse and their new mouse surface combats just that. Working in synergy with the G903 gaming peripheral, Logitech’s Powerplay will actually charge the mouse while in use.
To finish off a great day of intriguing chats, TechnologyX was invited to the Samsung Canada meet and greet.Once again we were met with very friendly people, drinks and a pampering of food from chef Christopher Kostow.
Needless to say we enjoyed every minute of PepCom in addition to Samsung and can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store for us.
