HyperX Pulsefire Gaming Mouse / XL Fury S Mouse Mat Review

It’s the time of year to be thankful, give thanks and celebrate with family. This year we are very thankful to be able to review HyperX’s Pulsefire gaming mouse in addition to the XL Fury gaming mouse mat.

Being know for their well made products, HyperX prides its self on making quality merchandise for consumers and gaming professionals. Mice and mouse pads are extremely important in the gaming community because the mouse is an extension of your arm and has a direct impact on your gaming performance.

Packaging & Contents

Our packages came a couple of week apart. Both were undamaged from post and the packaging looked professional. Our Pulsefire came in standard packaging with a nifty twist. Inside the product box was an engagement ring looking box that opened up to showcase the mouse. Also packaged was an instruction manual along with a HyperX thank you card. The Pulsefire looks like professional weapon of mass destruction. A braided black with red USB cable feels very durable and provides more than enough length to reach the rear of our PC. All the switches on this sleek-looking mouse have a very well made tactile feel including the mouse wheel. These switches are all Omron, who are well known for the quality of their switches. As important as switches is the surface underneath. The Pulsefire comes equipped with two huge frictionless pads that provide an ideal glide for precision shots. We would like to see mice from other companies follow suit to HyperX’s impressive design. Our XL Fury mouse pad came packaged in the same kind of fashion as the mouse. With a “You have to feel this fabric” packaging concept it lets you touch the mat before you buy it. The dimensions of our mat are 900mm by 420mm which fills up most of our computer desk. The three less large mats come in 450 by 400, 360 by 300 and 290 by 240 mm. This gives you the option of finding the mat that really fits any kind of setup. With all this talk of specs, our mouth is watering knowing we get to try this beastly combo out.
