Seagate is announcing their new Game Drive for Xbox SSD, providing serious gamers with faster boot times and game loading performance. The Game Drive is designed exclusively for Xbox, and provides an ultra-portable means of storing games, just in time for the holiday season and the latest popular AAA game titles.
The Seagate® Game Drive for Xbox SSD utilizes NAND flash storage to provide a much improved gaming experience. Gamers are able to launch right into the action much quicker, with much faster load times, reduced waiting time at welcome screens, and quicker transitions between levels, as with top titles such as Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3.
Most consoles have limited internal storage capacity, yet game download/install file sizes continue to grow, leaving gamers looking for increased storage options. With over 1/2TB (512GB) of capacity Seagate’s Game Drive is able to store around 15 of the user’s favorite game titles and downloadable content. Gamers can keep their lesser-played titles archived in the console’s original storage, and keep their larger library of more frequently played games readily available on the Seagate Game Drive.
The Seagate Game Drive sets up easily and installs in mere seconds. Its stylish and sleek aluminum housing complements the Xbox ecosystem. The compact size and no power cable required make it extremely portable. The Seagate Game Drive for Xbox SSD creates another option to the highly successful HDD version that Seagate debuted at Gamescon 2015. The HDD model is available in both 2TB and 4TB capacities, with the 2TB version able to store up to 50 game titles, and the 4TB version able to store 100 game titles.
Seagate’s Game Drive for Xbox SSD is being offered at an MSRP of $199.99 USD, and is anticipated for November availability at Amazon, GameStop, and other select consumer electronics retailers.
