Lately, you’ve seen some flashy keyboards here on TechX, but that flashy RGB fancy stuff isn’t for everyone. Today we are going to take a look at a more budget and functionality oriented Keyboard from the folks at Zalman. The ZM-K650WP.
PACKAGING, CONTENTS & PRICE
The K650WP is packaged in cardboard box with the front showing you a picture of the keyboard itself. The background is a pool of water which gets our minds geared in on the WP of the name which is for water proof.Around the back of the box you’ll see some fine printed details in ten different languages along with the specifications. Some of the key specs to take mention to are the Full Water-proof design, which we will test later on, the Plunger membrane as well as anti-ghosting up to 26.
Opening the box you’ll see the keyboard wrapped in a plastic protective cover. Other then that you get a USB converter for the keyboard as it is standardized with the PS/2.
This is one of the first keyboards in a long while that we have seen come with a PS/2 plug as they are basically outdated and most motherboards come with a plethora of USB options for your peripherals. Either way it’s considerate and those back in the stone age 90’s Dell Optiplex computers will thank you.The keyboard itself has a very budget look and appearance to it, which is suiting considering this board comes in at $29.99 on Amazon. the 650 has a rattling sound to it when you move it around which comes from the keys protruding from a sunken board. It gives you that look and feel of a basic keyboard you’d see in schools or at work. Nothing fancy just what you need to get the job done.

The ZM-K650WP is a great day to day public use keyboard, as a gaming keyboard we wouldn't put it in that category. For $29.99 this board is budget and functional.
