Tesoro Sagitta Gaming Mouse Review

Today we are going to introduce you to the Sagitta by Tesoro. From a glance at the package to experience inside you can find out if the Sagitta is right for you.

PACKAGING, SPECIFICATIONS AND PRICING

Tesoro has done a great job with the packaging of the Sagitta, allowing you to not only get a great look and understanding for the Sagitta before ever using it but the flips open exposing a firsthand look and feel with a small opening at the bottom of the case allowing you to get your hand right in there and get a taste for the shape of the Sagitta. This is by far one of the more creative retail packages we have come across for a mouse. As you take a more intimate look around the box you’ll see some of the stand out features. A 32bit ARM Cortex Processor w/ 1000Hz polling, 512KB of built-in memory and up to 5000 Dpi just to name a few. Sagitta’s price is right around where we would expect it to be from what we have seen so far, around $59.99 is where we found it on Amazon. Open the side and pull out the Sagitta you’ll notice that it comes with a lengthy 2m braided cord and the quick start manual.

SOFTWARE AND FEATURES

As mentioned Sagitta can be used as simple plug and play but now that you’ve downloaded the Software you’re ready to get the most out of your purchase. After you install and open the program the first screen will be the one shown below.

This screen shows you the basic functions of your mouse and allows you to designate your buttons as you wish. One thing we noticed before we even opened up the program and fixed it was that that browsing back/forward buttons were preset inverted here. This was a little confusing at first until we were able to switch them but we are referring to the 4 & 5 buttons if you hadn’t clued in. The buttons themselves are all programmable to many different ideals as seen below.

The second tab is the Performance tab and this is where you will be able to adjust your DPI Stages up to four different toggle options. Adjusting the snap angle, lift height, polling rate etc is as easy as a click away from this screen.

The lighting of the Sagitta is full RGB allowing you many different options for the visual aesthetics of the mouse. The scroll wheel as well as the logo at the palm are individually adjustable and have a few different options for you to play with and find out what best suits you.

The final page of the software is the one that will be of the utmost importance to the gamer in you. The Macro page, that programmed algorithm of repetitive clicks stored into your mouse to help you kick some serious butt. Recording those multiple functions and having them available in a single click is the difference between life and death and Tesoro has hit the nail on the head with the macro recording. Good Job.

FINAL THOUGHTS AND ANALYSIS

The Sagitta is a great mouse with awesome software to control it. RGB lighting and a comfortable feel for long duration gaming sessions make the Sagitta a great buy for the $60 mark. The only major issue we have with the mouse is the laser’s surface-friendliness.

We tried Sagitta on many surfaces besides a mouse pad, usage on our wood desk was extremely choppy. So this got us to trying more surfaces such as paper, cardboard, etc. All were choppy so ensure you have a good mouse pad if you decide to purchase to the Sagitta. Given you have a pad then the Sagitta is a great mouse with an abundance of controls and the lighting features included it will keep you immersed in the game and on point with accuracy!
