Our next stop throughout CES brought us to the Patriot suite where we were introduced to new storage products, memory and peripherals.
First up was new USB storage with the Supersonic Mega with capacities ranging up to 512GB, and throughout ranging up to 380 MB/s read and 70 MB/s write. Accompanying this was the slick Supersonic Magnum 2 that has capacities ranging up to 512GB, and throughout of up to 400 MB/s read and 300 MB/s write.
Also on display was the new Viper USB. The latest addition to Patriot’s Viper storage division that gives you capacities ranging up to 256GB and has throughout of up to 380 MB/s read and 70 MB/s write.
We were lucky enough to see a prototype of a new 2.5″ form factor SSD, the 1TB V860. This sleek red casing was empty, so we have no specifications on hardware or components. We did however see the Hellfire M.2 PCIe Gen 3 X 4 (2280) SSD that will have capacities ranging up to 480 GB and blazing read speeds of up to 2.5 GB/s and write speeds of up to 600 MB/s.
Patriot was also showcasing their latest Viper Elite DDR4 memory. This is available in capacities from 8-64GB, timings up to 16-18-18-36 and up 3200 MHz.
Also, Patriot was showcasing three mice prototypes, designed for an entry-level, FPS and MMO flavours. More information will be on the way, once the products progress out of the prototype phase.
