G.SKILL will soon release a DDR4 successor to their Trident X series DDR3 RAM named Trident Z. The release set for July comes just in time for Intel’s release of Skylake. The new Trident Z series comes with high quality aluminum heatspreaders and a customized bar in various colors, providing PC builders the options to match their own system’s color scheme, while maintaining efficient heat dissipation.
The new Trident Z series will come in Quad and Dual channel kits allowing enthusiasts to choose just how much RAM they need as well as choosing a kit based on their system. We expect the Trident Z series to be as popular amongst enthusiasts and benchers alike.
Specifications should be released soon although we have heard rumors that they will go all the way to 3666MHz kit with nice tight timings. We would expect lower frequencies such as 2800MHz to 3000MHz to come out of the box with tighter timings than we have seen with other DDR4 kits. Time will tell though as we patiently await the release date. We will bring you more information about the new G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 series once the data becomes available.
We have already seen an announcement of the G.Skill Trident Z series RAM as well as other G.Skill products in our Computex G.Skill visit to their booth as seen here.
