Sennheiser U320 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset Review

There is a large variety of gaming headsets in the market today, but Sennheiser has just made your next purchase that much easier, especially if you own multiple gaming platforms. Sennheiser’s U320 has a sleek design that comes with high-end audio quality normally found in studio headphones. We put the Sennheiser U320 to the test in the TechnologyX labs, and the results do not disappoint!

DESIGN

In the box, the Sennheiser U320 comes with the headphones, one (1) game audio cable and one (1) chat audio cable. The total cable length is 4 meters, which gives you plenty of room between you and your TV/Monitor.

The overall look of the Sennheiser U320 is that of a typical gaming headset, with extra-large over ear cups which, as we discuss later on, are very comfortable for those late nights of gaming.

The Sennheiser U320 is clearly well engineered, as the headphone’s are made with high-quality material.

FEATURES/SPECIFICATIONS

Sennheiser has included their patented noise-cancelling microphone, which supplies extremely clear sound to fellow gamers. I encourage you to head over to Sennheiser to test out the difference for yourself!

When you don’t feel like talking anymore (or letting anyone else hear you), raising the boom arm can easily mute the microphone. At approximately 45 degrees you will feel, and hear, a small click, which signifies that the microphone has been muted.

The Sennheiser U320 features double volume control, which easily allows for you to adjust the gaming audio volume, as well as the TeamSpeak volume. In addition to that, you can also flip on the side tone switch that allows you to hear your own voice. Going one step further, you can turn on/off another switch that will increase the amount of bass that will be pumped through the headphones. Sennheiser has made set-up extremely painless with cables that are all colour coded, it is as simple as connecting “Blue-to-Blue” and “Grey-to-Grey”.
