Genius is a fairly new company in North America where peripherals and computer hardware are concerned, but they have quickly turned heads by creating very unique products. From mobile Bluetooth scanners to arcade sticks, their repertoire of ideas is impressive.
One such example is the Ring Style Wireless Presenter. Genius has a plethora of different ring-styled mice, but this is the first circular model that is designed around their laser pointer series, which from Genius (and others) have traditionally been bulky.
As with any new idea or design philosophy change, the primary area of concern is execution. For $39.99, we will see if the Genius Ring Style Wireless Presenter can perform as well as Genius’ larger laser pointers.
PACKAGING AND SPECIFICATIONS
As we can see, the Ring Style Presenter has five buttons: F5/ESC, Previous page, Next page, Laser pointer, Blank page/Power on-off). Of course some of them are multifunctional, and can further be customized through Windows. The wireless 2.4GHz pico wireless receiver is also great, as Bluetooth is generally not readily available in budget school computers. A small lithium ion battery removes the hassle of changing batteries, and the ten meter range is excellent for a device this size.
Onto the packaging, the Ring Style Presenter comes in a sleek looking transparent plastic case:
The sides contain system requirement and specifications, as well as a QR code for the product page:
Opening it up we have the Genius Ring Style Presenter on a soft backdrop. Further contents include a soft velvet carrying pouch, pico USB wireless adapter, microUSB charging cable, and a user guide:
Dear Deepak,
I bought the product 15 months ago, I used it about 10 times, and now I cannot charge it, when I connect the device, the blue light starts to flash. first fast, and after a time, slowly. The proble is that when I tried to use ot the last time, it doesn’t work, only works when it is connected. Do you have any recommendation for that?
Unfortunately Deepak no longer writes for us, I would recommend contacting Genius themselves here https://www.geniusnet.com/Genius/wSite/ct?xItem=16268&ctNode=91&mp=1
