Cooler Master Showcases Cherry MX Green Switches At CES Las Vegas 2013

Cooler Master may not have a booth at CES 2013, but they sure have a solid presence nonetheless. I met with the company earlier today in their well-equipped suite and was awed by the layout of their showcase, which was neatly organized into three categories. The first one I visited was the Cooler Master Storm gaming area:

Great (and funny) first impression, but it does not stop there. Cooler Master is pumping out some great ideas in their Storm line, such as removable aluminum panels on keyboards, mice, and headsets for eSports-type branding. If you are familiar with arcade sticks, these peripherals follow the same customization and modification – certainly more aesthetically pleasing than smacking a sticker on the side of a headset speaker.

There is just way too much stuff to show, but what really caught my eyes is the Cooler Master green-switched keyboard called the “Storm Trigger Green”. The Cherry MX green switches are brand new and exclusively available to Cooler Master in North America. The typing experience is absolutely amazing. Think of the greens as a mix between the blues, browns, and reds: tactile feedback, low noise output, and a very low actuation point. To sum it up in one word: brilliant.

The home and mobile convenience category is definitely what Cooler Master is targeting heavily. They featured a plethora of stands, device docks, tablet cases, and universal adapters. One of the two products that really captured my attention included pillow-styled cooling pads:
